President Kenyatta Addresses The Nation May 16

It hasn't brought good news:
  • The curfew continues (it doesn't affect me)
  • Borders to Tanzania are closed (thought they were already)
  • Tougher controls for the truck drivers at border crossings (should have implemented these at the beginning)
  • Cessation of movement into and out of the counties of Nairobi, Mombasa, Kilifi, Kwale and Mandera (So I misunderstood. It was never a total inter county travel ban, just in and out of 5 counties. I am free to travel to other counties near here but when there are few hotels open and where can I get a better deal than what I have here?)

To be honest, I wasn't expecting anything else. Of course was ever hopeful. But alas. It is what it is. No more waiting in anticipation for the next 19 days or so.
