Flying Mexico to London England March 2022

I needed to get back to England. I flew San Salvador to Mexico City and then to London.
Flying Mexico to London

The Covid-19 vaccination administered in Mexico was finally accepted for travel to the UK on February 11.

And other than the all important vaccine certificates, you need to fill in a PASSENGER LOCATOR FORM before you fly.

This is easy. You do it online not more than 3 days before you fly. Even though you can do it before then you can't check in if the form was submitted before. It did not allow me, so I had to resubmit everything.

I was flying BA. I was required to sign up with 'Verifly', an app supported by BA.

I took photos of my Vax Certificates from Mexico and uploaded them.

The reason why the vaccine given in Mexico was not accepted for travel to the UK for so long, was that there was no Date of Birth on the vax certificate.

All I needed, as instructed by Verifly, was to write on my DoB.

It was accepted within minutes.

I uploaded my passenger locator form and then I was good.

24 hours before my flight, I checked in.

The info which was stored on the Verifly app gets automatically synced to the BA check-in page.

Easy.

I downloaded both the passenger locator form and boarding pass and got hard copies.

Thus armed with all the documentation needed, I flew England.

The flight was OK. Beer and some snacks as an appeetivo, then a meal of pasta and salad, with a fine glass of red.

In flight entertainment, No Time To Die

And then trying to get some shut eye.

Arrival at Heathrow Terminal 5, all the checks performed to get on the flight, getting into the UK was just a matter of getting my passport scanned.
