How to get an E visa for Oman

If you want to visit Oman you will need a visa. Visas On Arrival (VOA) are no longer available.
E visas are available for citizens or 71 countries and territories. See the Wikipedia map.

The official portal to obtain your E Visa for Oman is: https://evisa.rop.gov.om/en/home.
There are various types of Tourist Visas available:
G nations are:
Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Italy, Japan, Malaysia, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Philippines, Singapore, South Africa, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Thailand, United Kingdom, and the United States
There is a 10 day visa or a 30 day visa, both are valid for 30 days from date of issue, which means you have 30 days to get yourself to Oman.
Fee for the E Visa for G1 citizens:
10 day = 5 OMR
30 day = 20 OMR
Fee for Koreans:
30 days, no fee and it cannot be extended
Fee for New Zealanders:
3 Months, no fee and it cannot be extended
Exchange rate as of November 2019:
1 OMR = 2.60USD
1 OMR = 2.03£
1 OMR = 2.36€
For all other nationalities not covered above, please refer to your own country's government portal.
If you are coming from Dubai you can get a:
COMMON VISA FACILITY WITH THE EMIRATE OF DUBAI
"For encouraging tourism between the Sultanate and Emirate of Dubai, it is allowed to every one who obtained tourist visa of Emirate of Dubai to whom on the list No. (1) and granted free for three weeks in case of Emirate of Dubai visa is valid for at least three weeks.
Fees: No fees are charged. Fees are only paid to the relevant authorities in the Emirate of Dubai.
Procedures on how to get the visa: A seal of entry should be stamped at the legal point of entry on the passport for three weeks after registering all passport holder data.
Visa validity: Three weeks only.
Extension term: One week only.
A fine of (10) ten Omani riyals per day is charged for an overstay beyond the validity term of the visa.
The countries benefiting from this type of visa are:
Portugal, Spain, France, Switzerland, Italy, Britain, Sweden, Greece, Austria, Ireland, Finland, Germany, Iceland, Belgium, Norway, The Netherlands, Denmark, South Korea, Japan, Brunei Darussalam, Malaysia, New Zealand, USA, Canada, Australia, Singapore, Hong kong, Luxembourg, Vatican, Monaco, Andorra, San Marino."
