Learning to live with Covid-19 - The New Normal

Backpacking in Beograd during the Coronavirus COVID-19 pandemic. Adapt or have a very miserable life, unless you like being inside.
Left: mandatory use of a protective mask
Right: let's keep healthy - wearing a mask is mandatory

We all seem to accept that the Coronavirus Covid-19 ain't going anywhere anytime soon.
Whether it really is the 'bad boy' that we've been led to believe or whether it is nothing more than a stronger-than-normal seasonal flu, the lockdowns set up to control the spread have created havoc and misery across the world.
I am not qualified to make any medical-based opinion but I don't believe it will just disappear, however 'bad' it is. Yes, many have died but really, the numbers ain't that high. And no I don't believe the stats, number of cases or deaths. Countries are both under and over-reporting.
How can a guy who dies of a bullet wound be classified as a COVID-19 death? And a buddy in Russia, whose cousin works in ICU said they don't even write Covid on the death certificate any more.
There is no transparency or consistency but at no point am I saying it's nothing.
It may get weaker but it ain't gonna go away until a vaccine is produced. But how long will that take? And then, how long would it take to manufacture and vaccinate 7 billion + people?
So as they have done in Kenya, they have learnt to live with HIV and malaria. We will now have to learn to live with Corona.
Many more die each year from these than die of Covid-19 yet no country goes into lockdown to contain the spread of AIDS. They don't even close down the brothels. They don't tell you to abstain from sex, they promote using condoms when you have a desire to shag a partner who is not your normal one, where maybe they should tell guys to keep their dicks in their pants and the girls to keep their knickers on. Cos like Corona, with AIDS you can't tell if said person is +ve or not.
The only real way to stay safe is to resist urges and if coronavirus is transmitted by being close to others, then you'll have to seal yourself up inside and with both cases, we know this ain't gonna happen.
They can't even get a malaria vaccine despite all the years spent trying, so are they going to get a Corona vaccine by Christmas? Not on your nelly. If they do it will be a miracle!
Time to get used to the restrictions put in place, use precautionary measures and just continue however possible. Because are you going to spend the rest of your soon-to-be, very miserable lives, at home?
If you are one of those who think it's nothing or one of those who hate wearing a mask, you will become unstuck. The wearing of masks has become mandatory in many places. On buses, planes, in shops or in any enclosed public space. This is whether you like it or not, agree or disagree, the #NewNormal.
Those who don't comply are frowned upon, labelled as being socially irresponsible, fined, arrested or beaten by stick-wielding police and kicked off of the bus.
So just #maskthefuckup to protect others if you are a carrier and prevent passing it on to others who may be less strong. Yes, it's uncomfortable, more so when it's 30 degrees out but hey, if you can't wear a mask you deffo ain't gonna like wearing a ventilator.

Take your own precautionary measures. Wash your hands at every given opportunity, avoid touching things unnecessarily, don't put your hands near your face, get used to bumping elbows and for the French, Italians, Swiss and others who kiss on greeting friends, please stop it.
