Turkey gives visa free access to British passport holders

Announcement:

From March 2 2020, citizens of Austria, Belgium, the Netherlands, Poland, Spain and the UK will be able to travel to Turkey visa-free for short-term trips for tourism purposes.

For the traveller from these 6 countries, this is great news. Turkish Airlines flies to many countries from Istanbul and it is a great city that sometimes you just want to have a few days layover.

I've been to Turkey in 2002, 2010, 2013, 2017 and 2020.

Now we get 90 days per visit and can stay 90 days in a 180 day period, without cost. Turkey is moving with the times. It pays to encourage tourists. We spend money after all. Some more than others naturally but hey.
