How to get to Athens Airport from Syntagma Square on the X95 Airport Express Bus.
My Aegean flight A3904 from Athens Eleftherios Venizelos Airport (Greece) to Larnaca was at 13:10. Some days before, I had taken the Athens Metro into town, which cost me 9 euros, so I decided to take the X95 back.
The X95 Airport Express takes about 70 minutes depending on the traffic which is a bit longer than the metro, but is much cheaper at just 5.50 Euros (April 2025).
It leaves from a point on the southern side of the Syntagma Square at a point called "Constitution" on Google Maps:

The X95 departs from Syntagma Square 3 or 4 times an hour, depending on the time of day, and operates 24/7. Here is the schedule/timetable posted at the little ticket office, checked out the day before in true Boy Scout fashion:
I bought my ticket at the tiny kiosk there (cash or card), but interestingly, you can also pay with your bank card using contactless on the bus using the scanner to do so, and for those with tickets, you must validate your ticket:
I took the 8:40 am and arrived at the departure stop at 9:35 am. The bus then loops back to the arrivals hall before returning to the centre of Athens.
There is also the X93 that runs to and from the Intercity Bus Station, the X96, to and from Piraeus and the X97, to and from Dafni Metro Station.
