Visiting Kairouan – Fourth Holiest City in Islam

Kairouan is the fourth holiest city in Islam (after Mecca, Medina, and Jerusalem).

So, having backpacked the Northernmost Point of Africa, at Ras en Jela, my next stop was Kairouan, 155 km to the south.
