These ten museums in Mexico City have free entry, but only on Sundays, and for everyone, not just for locals or foreigners with residency permits.
Mexico City Museums: Practical Guides & Backpacking Tips
Mexico City has over 150 museums. From some of the most famous museums in the world, such as the Museo Nacional de Antropología, the Museo del Templo Mayor and Frida Kahlo’s Casa Azul, to the Laboratorio Arte Alameda, Centro de la Imagen and the Museo Jumex.
Quite a few museums offer free entry, some only on Sunday. Most museums in Mexico City are closed on Monday, though not all.
All posts offer practical information for visitors, including tickets, opening hours, location and details on how to get there using public transport, listing the closest Metro or Metrobus stations.
This category page is obviously a work-in-progress, as my exploration of the city is ongoing. I have visited a lot of them but getting them up on the blog takes time and many need revisiting.
