Having visited Victoria Falls, I went halfway across the Victoria Falls Bridge, linking Zambia and Zimbabwe:
I’d already seen Victoria Falls from Zimbabwe, back in 2016 – no need to go back this time.
From the entrance to Victoria Falls, it’s a short walk to Zambian Immigration, where you show your passport and say that you are just going to the middle of the bridge.
If you are entering Zimbabwe, make sure you have your paperwork in order. The town of Victoria Falls, on the other side of the bridge, is just a short walk away.

Then it’s about a 500 m walk to the Victoria Falls Bridge that separates Zambia and Zimbabwe.
I bought a 20 Billion Zimbabwe Dollar note for my collection:
When I was there, they were using US dollars, then they switched again to the ‘New Zimbabwe Dollar’, but it suffered hyperinflation and became a worthless currency again.
They are now back to using US dollars.
I walked halfway across the bridge to get my obligatory photos in no man’s land between Zambia and Zimbabwe.

There are minivans to whisk you back to Livingstone. They take 18 passengers and go when full. The ride takes 20 minutes and costs 10 Kwacha.
If you are travelling with a lot of luggage, private shared cars cost 20 Kwacha, so I am told.
