The Cheapest Way to get from SDQ (Las Américas International Airport) to the centre of Santo Domingo
The Las Américas International Airport (SDQ) is 30 km east of Santo Domingo.
My Arajet flight from Mexico City landed at 5.40. After immigration, I killed time drinking coffee. Word was that minivans to Santo Domingo leave from departures, 1 level up.
I asked a young lady working the porter's desk. The ride to town was 150 pesos. I waited a while and then left.

Minivans depart when full from the Parada De Guaguas Expreso Campolindo:
I jumped in. The conductor took the money. Just 75 pesos (1 USD = 62 DOM pesos). Booking was charging US$123.92 for a transfer. Incredible.
The Santo Domingo airport ATM you need to use is the Banco Popular. The ATM fee is 300 pesos and has a high withdrawal limit.

The ride into town took an hour. I had no idea what the route was, so I followed our progress on Google Maps and just rode until everyone got out. And that was at the Altar de la Patria, which was pretty good for me.
