Posted: May 27, 2025
Travelling around Europe can be a lot of fun, if you know where you should go and what you should do while you’re there. Europe is a big place, so you want to ensure that you’re dedicating enough time to each place, otherwise you could end up missing out on things. The best thing that we can recommend is that you set an amount of time you will stay in each place, and then move on so that you can make the most of the time you have. Want to know more about where to go? Keep reading.

Croatia

Croatia has become a popular place for tourists lately due to its beautiful beaches and crystal clear waters. However, Croatia has far more to offer than just the beaches. You can also find many other islands which means you can island hop to make the most of your trip. If you need a break from the sun, sea, and ice cold drinks then head over to the mountains and hilly terrain, where you can find some wonderful places to explore.

Mostar

If you are on the lookout for a city that ticks all your boxes including being rich in culture and history then Mostar is the place to be. Perhaps one of the most iconic places to see while you are here is the Stari Most meaning old bridge in Bosnian. Locals can often be found diving off this bridge and tourists love to watch, if not join in occasionally.

For those who want to visit here but are staying further out, you can look into a service that offers Sarajevo to Mostar transfer. Visiting a place like this will also allow you to avoid some of the issues that come with larger capitals including high crime rates, massive crowds and long queues for any sites or attractions.

Venice

Another fantastic location is Venice and this is somewhere you should visit at least once in your life. While this isn’t the capital city of Italy, it is the capital city of the Veneto region. You can take a Gondola along the river and see the beautiful architecture and sites along the way. This city is steeped in history and you can learn so much from a guided tour, make sure you book yourself in for one while you are there. Venice is very much a central location and you can get to many other places surrounding it, even for a day trip.

Montenegro

In south eastern Europe you will come across a lovely small country called Montenegro. This means black mountain and there are a lot of these that you can explore. If you love being out in the countryside getting stuck into rugged terrain and finding idyllic spots then Montenegro is certainly a place you want on your European bucket list. Don’t worry, if you are also wanting to chill on a beach as part of your vacation then you can do this as well. Dotted along the coastline are some amazing beaches just waiting to be explored.

We hope you found this article helpful and it gave you some ideas on where to go off the beaten track in Europe. There will always be places to visit, you just need to do some research on where is best.
