Poland ATM Without Fee - Bank Pekao

Posted: July 31, 2024

Free ATM Cash Withdrawals in Poland.
bankomat pekao in Poland
I have been in Poland for a few days already and have not used cash, have not needed cash. Until today that is.

Where I hear you ask? Surely you can pay by card everywhere? At the local WC.

There are no free public toilets and restaurants won't let you use their facilities unless you are a customer McDonald's isn't on every corner, so you do need to have some cash on you to use the public loos.

At least it's not like England, which is the only place I know, where many places are refusing cash (WTF), so is easy to spend it if you draw out too much when you are in Poland.

And so, a trip to the ATM was needed. I tried the one at the Pekao Bank in Nowa Huta.

I was lucky the first time.

The Pekao Bank doesn't charge any withdrawal fee, at least not with my UK-issued Monzo card.

As I prepare to publish this post, the Dizzy Daisy Hostel here in Krakow only accepts cash for some of the tours they book.

You can thank me later or perhaps buy me a coffee:
