How To Get A Madagascar Tourist Visa On Arrival At Antananarivo Airport

I was flying to Madagascar. This is the process I went through in June 2023 to obtain a Madagascar Tourist Visa On Arrival at the Antananarivo Ivato Airport, travelling on a British passport.
They have now introduced a Madagascar eVisa. The eVisa fees for UK Citizens are: 60 days: 45 USD, 30 days: 37 USD, 15 days: 10 USD. They state that the VOA for Madagascar is still available at the same rates as the eVisa.

The Kenya Airways flight from Nairobi didn't have any immigration cards so on stepping into the Antananarivo Ivato Airport I immediately asked for one.
I queued up at the VISA desk.
Madagascar still issues the Visa On Arrival.

Madagascar Visa on Arrival fees as of 2023:
The maximum number of days given at the airport is 60 days!
I had my 40€ ready and handed it over with my passport. It is processed tout de suite.
You are given a fiche (sorry I don't have a photo), then you queue up at the immigration desk.
I handed everything over including the immigration forms. You need to write down a hotel name, address, phone number and email address. I just used a random hotel in town and made up the email address.
You get a small visa sticker in your passport, and then you go to another desk and have it stamped. So easy!
Then in the Arrivals Hall, you can change your Euros, Pounds or Dollars. Or use one of two ATMS, the MCB Madagascar ATM has free withdrawals, the SOCIETE GENERALE is not free.
Or walk out of the airport and use the money changer there to get a slightly better rate.
I wrote a separate post detailing all you need to know about how to get cash at the Ivato International Airport.
