Backpacking Adventure Stories from my 102nd country, Costa Rica
The capital, San José was my favourite place in Costa Rica. It struck me odd that most travellers used the capital as little more than a place to change buses. Perhaps that's why I liked it more compared to the more popular places like La Fortuna and Cauhuita.
Having been struck down with Dengue Fever in Nicaragua, I made full use of the well stocked supermarkets to eat many things that had been lacking as I backpacked Central America. But yeah, prices are high in Costa Rica, though the saving grace is that you can get free cash withdrawals at every ATM.
