Backpacking in Namibia
All the posts from my visit to Namibia in 2023.
I had 2 reasons for wanting to visit Namibia.
Firstly, it would give me a new country hit bringing my total of Countries and Territories visited to 113, 106 UN Member States, plus 7 others that I personally recognise.
Secondly, I was going there to visit my buddy Nick who now lives in Katima Mulilo, which is the first town you get to when driving west along the Caprivi Strip from Botswana.
The journey was winding down. 4 months in Africa. 6 weeks in Madagascar and 10 weeks which saw me travel overland by public transportation from Nairobi, Kenya, through Uganda, Rwanda, Burundi, Tanzania, Zambia Botswana and finally into Namibia.
Time was short. I hung out with Nick and his girl friend. I did not backpack Katima Mulilo. There are no blog posts featuring the top 10 must-dos in Katima. There is not even an ATM post. I used card everywhere.
After visiting Nick I travelled back to Botswana with Nick's girl friend, using the same Ngoma Border crossing as I used when entering Namibia so there is just 1 border crossing post.
