I am finally going to spend some time detailing every item of kit that I am travelling with so make sure you stay tuned. Twitter is my go to Social Media feed.

I am a long-term traveller, not a two week tourist, a 6 month backpacker or even a Gap Year flashpacker. My backpack even with sleeping bag and mosquito net is half the size of most travellers I meet.

I am on the road since January 6 2020. That's 8 months now, and even at the height of Covid there is no need to go home. My last trip was 1423 days. That's 3 years, 10 months and 23 days. The one before that was 549 day - 18 months.

Staying away, seemingly forever is more of a mental game than physical game. Being comfortable even with minimal possessions is the key. Feeling good is an essential requirement to my happiness. I gave up on looking good, years ago.

The Remington HC4250 Shortcut, Pro Hair Clippers are not essential for the actual travels but very essential for my well being as a Long-Term Traveller.

I picked up the Remington HC4250 Shortcut, Pro Hair Clippers from Argos, which I passed daily on my way home from work. It comes in a carry pouch with 9 detachable fixed combs but in fact I only have one with me as a kind of protection when carrying it. I do not use the comb when giving myself a boule à zéro, which I do about every 10 days.

It works a treat. As single charge gives me quite a few cuts. I some times can't be arsed to shave so it works on facial hair pretty well with about a weeks growth and then I do a wet shave! I carry the tiny bottle of oil to lubricate the blades.

This is not an affiliate link. In fact, there are no affiliate links on this site. I hope to keep it that way. Blog running costs are helped by donations and the coffees keeps me focused. I only mention good products. I only review hostels that I have stayed in and if they meet the mark, I don't mind promo ing them. Life is tough just now and I don't want to give negative shout outs to hostels who can't even run a mop over the floor, I just don't give them valuable free promotion.
