SilverAnt Titanium Water Bottle

Posted: November 6 2023

SilverAnt produces top-quality products for those who love the Great Outdoors, but it's not just hikers, adventurers, and natural lovers who need to keep hydrated. Backpacking can be thirsty work, too.

Keeping hydrated with this Titanium Water Bottle by SilverAnt on the beach in Zipolite, Mexico.

At the Gran Desfile Día Muertos in Mexico City:

SilverAnt sent me their Ultralight Titanium Slim 800ml Water Bottle to road test.

They claim the bottle is both bulletproof and leakproof. I have been travelling for years and have a good few years left in me so if there is backpacker out there who can road test products, I think I fit the bill quite well.

There are two main factors involved when selecting a water bottle.

You need the water bottle to be leakproof and you don't want harmful chemicals from the the bottle impairing the taste a few months down the line.

Leakproof bottle stoppers:

When you buy the Ultralight Titanium Slim 800ml Water Bottle, which has the titanium bottle stopper as standard, you also get a leakproof BPA Free Plastic stopper too.

Both come with a silicon food-grade seal which means the bottle can be stored in your bag even upside down and it is guaranteed not to leak.

Odour-free construction:

Titanium is a biocompatible material which is non-toxic and non-allergenic so there won't be any funky smells.

I love the 'slim' design as it can be pushed into the side pockets of full daypack with greater ease than traditional round bottles:

It comes with a thermal sleeve so you can keep your cold drinks cool and your hot drinks hot yes you can make tea or coffee in it but obviously, it is not a thermal flask, nothing like cold tea on a hot Summers day, and if you are camping in the Great Outdoors, you can use the bottle to boil water (the melting point of titanium is 1,668 deg C):

It's easy to attach a carabiner so the bottle doesn't 'accidentally' fall out:

The SilverAnt Ultralight Titanium 800ml Water Bottle comes with a sandblasted finish so you can be stylish as you rehydrate:
