Staying at the Bushmills Youth Hostel in County Antrim - Northern Ireland

The Bushmills YHA Hostel, one of three YHA hostels in Northern Ireland, makes a great base to explore the surrounding area.
It's been years since I stayed in a YHA hostel and am loving my stay in the one in Bushmills, Gateway to the Giant's Causeway and home to Irish Whisky.
Bushmills is a great place to explore the surrounding area. You can make day trips to the towns of Coleraine, Portrush to the west and can explore The Giant's Causeway, the Carrick-a-Rede Rope Bridge and Ballycastle too. And then there is the Old Bushmills Distillery which I highly recommend you visit.
The Bushmills YHA is one of only 3 in Northern Ireland. The other one is the Whitepark Bay Hostel which I am going to soon, and the Belfast International Hostel which I hope to get to later.

Bushmills is small and the hostel is right in the centre of things on the high street.
I love the convenience of the location. The bus stops literally outside and the Coop supermarket is just 3 doors down.
The hostel has everything I need.
The self catering kitchen is where I cut costs by cooking for myself:

The dining room where I eat my meals:
The lounge where I drink my morning coffee, where I get most of my blogging done with the superfast WiFi which works all over.
Bushmills might be on the remote North Antrim Coast, they have faster WFi than I had in Glasgow, Edinburgh and Liverpool.
And the Antrim Coast was a very inspirational area, so I got lots of work done.

And my 6-bed dorm room where I rest up after hiking the coastal footpath and writing up my stories.
