My coffee-making setup for 2023 and beyond
For once it's not about Saving Money.
It's about convenience.
For once it's not about Saving Money.
It's about convenience.
I can make my own coffee 24/7 (assuming I have electricity and water).
I can make myself a coffee when the local cafés are yet to open for business.
And as I and some other long-termers are enjoying our sunrise coffee, young wannabees are asking: "where did you get your coffee man?"
Portable water heater: essential long-term, low-budget traveller item, bought in San Cristobal at 40 Pesos
Mug: The NomadicBackpacker Mug I had printed at Office Depot for 95 Pesos
Spoon: McDonald's used to give spoons like these in Hong Kong when you ordered HotCakes with Maple Syrup.
Nescafe: 36 Pesos
Sugar: 1KG 25 Pesos.
Coffee in a place where there is no McDonald's is 30 Pesos.
Yes, the convenience is total but the money saved cannot be sniffed at.
