How to take the San Pedro to Panajachel boat across Lake Atitlán

My stay in San Pedro was not a happy one. The Hotel San Francisco wore me down.

​First stop was at the Italian place for a coffee:

Then walking the back lanes to the dock:

​Small boats run regularly from San Pedro to Panajachel stopping at the small villages of San Juan, San Marcos, Tzununa, Jaibalito and Santa Cruz.

The price is fixed but they always wanna charge more. Always have the exact change. Just hand it over like you know what you are doing. Watch what the locals hand over. Never ask, "How much". This is an invitation to get ripped off.

The ride was easy. The sun was out, though of course later it will be raining. Happy days!
