After quite a long wait, I am pleased to be in the position, once again, to be able to feature the Top 3 Favourite Countries of selected travellers, wanderers, backpackers and nomads.
This series features top travellers such as Jonny Blair of Don't Stop Living, Ric Gazarian of Global Gaz and Peter Steyn of GlobeRovers, so if you are a traveller and blogger with a story to tell and would like to be featured, drop me a line on nomadicbackpacker [at] protonmail [dot] com

First up are Sonia and Wojtek from Poland who blog about their travels and life on Happy Little Traveler.
Hello, Sonia & Wojtek here. One day, after another short trip stuffed with "must-see things”, we felt that we had enough of fast travelling and need to change something. Not too long later we decided that we’ll combine working and travelling.
Then we reorganized our lives, and from summer 2021 we can call ourselves slow travellers /digital nomads, or just 'slowmads' as we like to call it.
We travel, work during the weekdays, and discover the world on the weekends. So far - we love it!

1. United Kingdom
This is the country we keep coming back to, and we still don't have enough of it. Many associate it mostly with London, but the United Kingdom has so much more to offer - from countless breathtaking views, fascinating history, great architecture, and interesting culture to delicious food.
Our favourites within the UK?
Scotland with its dramatic, yet breathtaking landscapes and remote roads.
Yorkshire which is full of history, charming towns, and green countryside.
Lake District - the land full of lakes, mountains, trails and little towns.
And… London, which is our favourite big city in Europe.
Oh, and we can’t forget about British pubs which are also our favourite places there - we love their unique vibe, and delicious fish & chips with a pint of ale.

2. Spain
Spain is one of the countries we really want to return to one day and explore more. So far we’ve spent 6 months there and visited its east coast - from Valencia to Cadiz.
And honestly, what is not to like about Spain?
It has hundreds of beautiful beaches, mountain ranges perfect for hiking lovers, charming little towns full of history and old whitewashed houses decorated with flowers.
There’s also a delicious fresh local cuisine and a perfect climate which allows spending winter in the sun and warm temperatures (at least on the east coast).
Oh, and we can’t forget about the friendly and helpful people thanks to whom we felt very welcome in Spain.
Our favourite places? Andalusia & province of Alicante.

3. Poland
As its citizens, we may love it or hate it, but we can’t deny Poland is full of beautiful places. Unfortunately, it’s often overlooked for the benefit of Western countries, and it shouldn’t be.
In Poland there are few mountain ranges, there is a sea and thousands of lakes. There are also many cities worth visiting. Which places do we recommend in particular? Tatra National Park + city of Zakopane, Karkonosze National Park, Baltic Sea coast (with cities like Gdańsk, Świnoujście, Hel, Ustronie Morskie, Łeba, or Władysławowo), and Mazury (a region with 2000+ lakes). As for the best big cities: Wrocław, Kraków, Poznań. Also, for travellers earning in euros or dollars, it will be a pricing paradise.
(Authors note: Having travelled quite a lot in Poland, I loved Gdansk and Zakopane, the Tatra Mountains are awesome).
