Walking in Oaxaca - Above Town
January 31 2021
South West of town a small range of hills, a great place to get into nature with awesome views of the city of Oaxaca. There was more wind than the day we walked to the Holy Cross so the sky and visibility was so much better.
I did 6 short video clips of the walk which are all posted below and here are some cracking photos using my Samsung J5.

Safety in numbers, I went with my walking buddy staying at the Andaina Hostel here in Oaxaca. The last part was through a neighbourhood which wasn't a problem and even the street dog, of which there were so many, like 1 every 30 meters, left us alone.
At one point we were deciding which way to go down the hill through the neighbourhood and an elderly lady showed us the way but once we hit the small road, she was saying it was dangerous and we should not walk but take a tuk-tuk.
We walked of course and ended the walk of about 6 miles by taking a super Menu del Dia at the Trigo Verde restaurant. We had lentil soup, a main course and a dessert. 5$ inc a tip. Check this out, how lush and healthy does this look?:
