This time, I am detailing how I travelled by bus from San Salvador to San Miguel.
I was in San Miguel to continue the journey to La Unión and to take the boat to Nicaragua. But first, I wanted to go to Perquín, the guerrilla capital during the Salvadoran war.

The San Miguel bus departs from the Terminal Plaza Amanecer, which is located in Soyapango, a few kilometres outside of San Salvador:

The arrival point was at the Terminal de Autobuses San Miguel. The journey took 3 hours.
From the bus terminal, it’s an easy 20-minute walk to the Hotel Europa, the cheapest hostel in San Miguel and the best option for low-budget travellers.
