By bus from Tegucigalpa to San Pedro de Sula, from the capital of one of the most dangerous countries in the world, to one of the most dangerous cities in the world.
As I make my way back to Mexico and Miss CDMX, I headed north out of Tegucigalpa to San Pedro Sula with the idea of crossing into Guatemala at Corinto and onto Puerto Barrios and Livingston and then catch a boat to Punta Gorda in Belize, my last Central American country and my 105th (98th UN listed) country, though in the end I went from Livingston to Rio Dulce to Flores and crossed into Belize at Melchor de Mencos.
I chose to take the Transportes Cristina bus which leaves from a dedicated terminal.
I had the staff at the Palmira hostel call me a cab. 110 Lp. I arrived in plenty of time to buy a ticket on the 8:30 am bus. The fare was 250 Lp, 10 USD.

It was very comfortable. We made a break halfway for 25 minutes. Arrived in San Pedro Sula at 1 pm.

I rode a minivan to the centre, 12 Lp, got out at some convenient point and walked like 10 blocks to my hotel.
