Quest 2021 - 100 unique daily visitors
The quest in 2021 is to get 100 unique visitors to my travel blog: Nomadic Backpacker
2021 is gonna be my year. The aim is to get 100 unique visitors to my travel blog, Nomadic Backpacker, every day.
I have just spent the best part of 3 weeks 'lazing' in the hammock at the Brisa Marina hostel in Zipolite, Mexico getting my travel blog in some sort of order.
I am always tweaking the design but don't always get around to adding these tweaks to the older posts and thus, the posts from Tunisia, Senegal, Mali, Côte d'Ivoire and Kenya we're a right mess.
For the time being, I am happy with my design. More so on mobile view.
My spelling at school was good but I now need to use Grammarly. I am hopeless at hyphenated words, or not as the case may be like: hitchhiking or minivans, ground-floor.
In December I created a FACEBOOK PAGE. I am not a fan of this platform but understand the need for it.
And of course, I had to add a link from each page alongside the link to Twitter and YouTube. On Weebly, nothing is automated and it is quite a ball breaker adding new ideas to 300 pages manually.
I have always maintained that to warrant running ads on my travel blog I must have a certain amount of traffic.
That is the goal, to increase the traffic.
Once I have achieved that, I will run ads. But not before!
And I will be selective. I hate ads that are not responsive. Ads must not overshoot the screen on mobile devices. Ads must not pop up and overlay other parts of the page. Ads must be relevant. Just saying!
And as I will look at this blog as a way to support my travels. Donations are put towards the costs of running the blog. Coffees and Beers through Ko-Fi are used for just that.
So the plan in 2021 is to keep on moving so I can keep on creating content, spreading the word, gaining fans who enjoy my blog posts!
