Discovering some of the best Street Art in Mexico: Jalatlaco - Oaxaca.
I stayed a month in Oaxaca, at the Andaina Hostel. I had made some short walks in the hills around town. I had backpacked Monte Alban, visited the Arbol del Tule and the archaeological site of Mitla.
Barrio de Jalatlaco is the cultural neighbourhood in Oaxaca City, Oaxaca - Mexico.
The buildings, on cute and mostly cobbled streets are festooned with amazing street art.

The Cafeteria La Casa de las Calaveras on the corner of Calle de Ignacio Aldama and Calle de Hidalgo is the most decorated of all:
The theme for a lot of the street art is the Day of the Dead or Dia de Los Muertos celebrated across Mexico and the rest of Latin America on November 1 and 2.

On the opposite corner to the The Cafeteria La Casa de las Calaveras is the 17th Century Temple of San Matías Jalatlaco
Barrio de Jalatlaco is about 2km from the centre of the historical district of Oaxaca City. It's an easy walk.
